Survey Results and Updates

Hello, readers!
I am so happy to be back! I had a great break, and am excited to get back to posting again. =)  This post is full of random tidbits, as well as survey results, so consider it a bit of a catch-up post. My normal types of posts will resume next week.

Several of you had mentioned that you would like to see some of the results from my most recent  blog survey. Therefore, I've compiled some of the results below for you. ( And I do realize that this post is not the most atheistic- I tried to make some more cutesy and interesting pie charts to display the information, but my efforts failed, so you'll just have to stick to reading the facts- sorry!)

52%  have been reading for about 8-5 months
35%  have been reading for around 2-4 months
9%  have been reading since the beginning
4%  have been reading less than a month

87%  think that it's perfect
9%  think that it's not enough posts a month
4%  think that  it's too many posts a month

26%  think I should keep my current blog design
17%  think I definitely need a design upgrade
26%  weren't sure
31%  added extra thoughts, and generally suggested a  design change or a few changes

52%  follow with GFC
26%  follow with email
13%  don't follow
9%  follow with Bloglovin'

70%  think the name is perfect
17%  think it's nice
13%  think it's okay, but another name might suit better

52%  are ages 16-19
35%  are ages 13-15
9%  are ages 10-12
4%  are 20 or older

I always love reading survey results. :) What statistics surprised you the most?
Thanks again to everyone who took the time to complete  the survey. I really appreciate the feedback and comments, which helped me out a lot in deciding a few things about what to update and change. There will be a few slight changes to A Purpose and A Promise in the next couple months, although nothing too drastic until the New Year (yes, more surprises!) Please bear with me in the next few weeks as I adjust a few things. :)

There's one other random thing that I wanted to address, since I haven't yet done it and I should- about photo credit.  All the photos that I use on my blog are either from Unsplash. com or Pexels.com (and therefore free and in the public domain), or are my own. I always want to give proper credit where it's due, especially as a photographer myself. All photographers work really hard for their photos, and they deserve the credit for them! I don't use Pinterest photos for that reason, and from now on, I'll try to make it clear where the credit goes to for any photos I use on my blog. Photos that I use for title images that don't have a credit underneath are ones from the public domain that I edited. My own photos are marked as mine, whether I edit them or not. If I have ever failed to give proper credit anywhere, I apologize, and please make sure to let me know if I ever forget in the future! Sorry to ramble, I just wanted to get that out there. ;)

Thank you all for being amazing readers! Have a wonderful weekend. =)

  1. Emily's back! *hugs* Those results are interesting! I'm surprised quite a few people thought you should change your blog name...I think it's perfect! ;)

And yes, I never wondered about you using Pinterest photos. :( I don't mention in my blog that I don't use them either...I just assumed people knew. ;)

Anyway, thank you for sharing the results and excited to have you back!!!

I agree that the results were interesting. I do like knowing what people think, but don't worry- since the majority (aka 70%) loves the name, I won't be changing it anytime soon. xD

I knew you never thought that.... I just wanted to mention it at some point just to have it out there. ;)

Thank YOU, Hannah, for all your comments and encouragement! <33
