Blog Thoughts || Lovely {Inspirational} Blogs

Hello, readers!
This Friday's post is one that I hope you will understand and take the right way. I am not trying to make you feel guilty or anything! It's just some of my jumbled thoughts that I attempted to put together so that hopefully someone will be blessed by it in some way or another!
I have been thinking lately about the importance of doing everything with a extra-special purpose in mind  after reading Hannah's post last Saturday. (If you haven't read it, you should stop reading this and go read it right now!)
Anyway, this is especially true of blogs, I think. There are so many blogs out there to read! Even in the Christian blogging circles. It can take up a lot of time following and reading all those blogs. But guess what? Most of those blogs are good! There's nothing wrong with them. They're wholesome and clean. And they have great content. So what's wrong with that? Well, nothing! There is absolutely nothing wrong with reading and following lots of blogs! So if there's nothing wrong with that, then what is the point? Well, this is the point I'm *trying* to make (especially to myself!)
There's nothing wrong with reading or writing random, entertaining posts. ( I do it myself sometimes).  But is that the best thing to focus on writing as a Christian blogger? Is that what will matter in eternity? You're probably thinking what I thought as I was first contemplating this- "For goodness' sake, it's just a blog!" Yes, it is just a blog. And it's just a post- a post that can effect someone forever. A post that God can use for His glory. He can use anything, even blog posts!
Instead of reading and looking at photos of what someone ate for their breakfast that morning, what if we put our efforts into inspiring others to help give someone else a breakfast in another country who may not have one? Instead of posting all about us, what if we posted all about Him? What if we cut down on the number of blogs that we follow, to the ones that we really enjoy reading and benefit from so we can have more time to serve others?
Please understand- I am not condemning following lots of blogs, or writing fun posts at all! I enjoy fun posts like tags, and I still will be doing them. It's just trying to make our main goals to be less about us and more about Him.

With that in mind, I'd love to share a few blogs that I follow that really inspire and encourage me every time I read one of their posts. And guess what? They all post fun things as well! But it's obvious that these bloggers are directing their readers to think about something other then themselves- which is the best goal to make! Whether it's a tag, a poem, a Christian living post, or a review, these bloggers always strive to give God the glory.
Please don't feel bad if your blog isn't on here! I plan to do a few more of these blog recommendations, but on different topics, such as writing blogs, etc. So if your blog isn't mentioned, it probably will be in the future! :)

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now and get to the blogs.  (These are in no particular order).

Hannah and her blog are amazing! She recently changed her blog's name to Becoming Lost, and it truly reflects what her goal is- helping others become lost in Jesus! 1. So apparently Hannah's post has been going around. ;) I'm surprised again and again by just how many young writers there are who are blogging to bring honour to God! I feel like I've visited a few, seen lists and lists in the form of blog rolls and similar lists. In short, I think I've only scratched the surface of such blogs. Thanks for sharing these. I've checked out those that I hadn't yet seen. X)

    1. Yes, they have! I'm so glad. =)
You're right- there are a lot, but sometimes it takes a while to find them. I'm glad you checked out some new ones! (By the way, your blog is really great too. ;)
Thanks for reading (and for following, as well!) ♥

    2. Oh, thank you, Emily. May we both recognize God as the source of all good and praise Him for it! X) I do want to keep up with your blog. :) (...hmmm, and even in saying so, I realize that my comment is pretty late. Um...?)

    3. Indeed! He is the One who inspires. =)

Oh, don't worry! I appreciate your thoughts, no matter when you do it. :)

  2. How can two minds think So alike?? Eeek. I love this post!! I've been thinking as well even since my Saturday post about how bloggers can just post random posts that point to themselves or they can post on things that completely point to Jesus and glorify Him in everything. Like you said, it's not wrong, but we should strive to not be self-focused, but Jesus-focused in everything. You hit it right on, girl! :) And thank you so much for mentioning my blog and post! I'm so blessed to be able to read a blog like yours that posts on things that truly do honor and glorify God incredibly. ♥♥♥♥♥♥

    1. I know! It seems that alike people think alike. :D
Aw, thank you! I was inspired by your post, so I should be telling YOU thank you! I have to be reminded myself, and writing blog posts are great ways to do that. xD I'm so glad there's others that have the same thoughts and goals. I am so blessed to be your friend and read your blog!♥♥♥

  3. Great post, Emily! Writing inspirational posts is something I want to try and do - though it's a lot easier for my easily distracted brain to throw a bunch of words together and simply call that a post XD. I'll have to check out some of these blogs you mentioned!

    ~ Savannah

    1. Thank you, Savannah! I understand- they are a lot of work, but it's worth it. =)
And your posts are always so good- your blog will definitely be featured at some point! <3

  4. This is so cool! I love it. It is so utterly awesome how often I see a blog I follow has posted something and it turns out to be so encouraging and uplifting and helpful! My blog's aim is to glorify God through my wee corner of the web.. and I've accomplished that them I'm happy!
Thank you so much for featuring me. I'm so honoured.

    1. Thanks, Bonnie! That is pretty awesome. I'm so glad you were encouraged! Your goal should be everyone's goal. :)
You're very welcome! I was blessed to be able to include your loevly blog. <3

  5. I love your view of reading blogs and Christian bloggers! I love this post! Thank you for sharing these blogs! Since I am following like 200 blogs I already follow some of these, but I'd love to check out the ones I haven't followed yet.

    Have a great weekend! :)

P.S. I love the little changes you've made to the blog design, they look great!

    With love and all joy,
    Allie D.

    1. Thanks, Allie! LOL, I hope you can find a few new things to read, even though you've probably already seen most of them! Your blogs definitely will be included at some point- I enjoy all of your posts! ♥

Thanks! I really appreciate you getting me set up, and I hope everything still looks good. ;) Have a great weekend as well!

  6. I've actually had this on my heart too Emily. It's hard to mix both "fun" posts and Godly posts sometimes. I took a break off tag posts for a while, which helped. =) (though I might do a tag post soon...) I also found that many of the blogs I follow(ed) were only entertaining, not actually impacting. It's very difficult to leave a blog though. *cries*

Thanks for your thoughts. =) I have to say that Jessica's blog is one of my favorites too. I love how she only posts 1-3 times a month, but every time they are just So. Good. ♥ Her blog has challenged me so many times!

    //Hosanna Emily

    1. That's interesting, Hosanna! It is hard sometimes, but I thought you was always did a great job of it. =) Your posts are always good, no matter what they're about!

I love Jessica's blog a lot too! Thanks for reading! <3

  7. I love this post! Blogging is amazing - I love all of the relationships that are made. ♥

    1. Thank you, Grace! You're right- it is a lot of fun to make new blogging friends, isn't it? ♥

  8. Thank you for this lovely list of blogs! I follow most of them (I think all except Tane's, which I am following right now). <3

    1. Thank YOU for reading, Katie! I'm so glad you found a new one- Tane's blog is amazing.♥

  9. Sorry I'm so late to comment, but I do want to tell you that I really appreciated this post, Emily. I've been thinking about the points you brought up, and your post has inspired me to really consider what I post, and where I spend my time online. I firmly believe, like you said, that blog posts can be powerful tools in God's hands.. Your post encouraged me to rededicate my blog and everything it contains to Him, so I want to just say thank you so much, and keep using your blog to shine for Him too. Blessings to you! xx

    1. It's perfectly okay! I appreciate comments at any time. :)
